DailyLit — Books By e-mail

25 03 2008

During the semester, I generally don’t get much reading done. For one or two weeks, all work will get put aside while I devour three or four books, but that’s not an efficient or sustainable way to read. Also, the list of books to read that are .pdfs on my computer is growing. Because I spend so much time in front of the computer anyway, I have little patience for happy-fun-times reading.

DailyLit is an experiment for me. They will serialize books for you, sending them one installment at a time. Each installment takes maybe five minutes to read. Beware! They have so many awesome-sounding books! I am limiting myself to three, and I think that may border on too much.

This morning, I got the first installments of
The Art of War — Sun Tzu
The Prince — Niccolò Machiavelli
Accelerando — Charles Stross
