Dan is excited by:

People who are awesome, writing smut on public transportation, making comics and other artworks, science!, medieval Scandinavian literature, wearing silly clothing while poking people with steel, playing instruments that are at least as large as he is, reading most things, and telling people of all genders how beautiful they are (with sometimes awkward results).
